José Cabita posing in front of his painting

José Cabita is the famous Capinha (bull dancer) off the island of São Jorge. Here he is posing in front of his painting in Manezinho. I used a foto by Jorge Blayer Gois as reference. Over the years Jorge made a whole series of spectacular images of José. The style of the painting is, what Rini calls, Stripeism, a sort of pointillism but then using brush strokes to accentuate the shape of the object in the painting.
